The environment is one of the five global causes of Lions Clubs International.
As far back as October 1972, the board of directors wrote in its statement of purpose:
"Lions is one of the international organizations dedicated to advancing common efforts to preserve and protect the environment for the benefit of all people and our descendants."
Our organization educates its members to be environmentally responsible, based on the principle of "Avoid - Reduce - Recycle - Offset.
